Have Your Say

The HHRAP partners have been working on restoring the waters of the harbour for over 30 years. They regularly review the status of the environmental issues that the harbour faces and provide updates using the latest science.

Public feedback is an important aspect of RAP implementation and decision making. Your input, questions, comments, and ideas help to ensure that community concerns are considered. Your participation and continued support are key to returning Hamilton Harbour as the vibrant centrepiece of our community!

Degradation of Wildlife Populations

You spoke, we listened! Back in 2019/2020 the HHRAP proposed a status change to not impaired for colonial waterbirds at a public forum and asked for feedback. That feedback is now incorporated into a draft redesignation report that you can read here. This document may change through time as we continue to collect feedback and incorporate Indigenous engagement. Appendix 3 specifically shows the response to public comments.
